SCHEDULING AND PRICING

INTRODUCTORY MEETING

The introductory video conference is a chance for me to learn a little bit about you, as well as you learn about how I can assist you in your college admissions process. the 20-minute meeting covers the basic elements about how I can help with the college and university list building process and portfolio development and/or editing for undergraduate and graduate admissions. This introduction will give students and families a larger view of the possibilities for studying art in college and the unique framework admissions process for artists and designers.

  • Selecting the right fit colleges/universities and creating a well-balanced list that includes looking at potential majors, size, location, extracurricular activities, internships, and more.

  • Basic principles to portfolio development

  • Personal statement/essay.

This is a great way to get introduced to the process and get a good foundation to move forward in your college search.

PRICING

Unlike most independent college counseling programs that have pre-design packages in the thousands of dollars, I personally work one-on-one with each student and family to provide specific information tailored to the art and education goals of each client. Families only pay for the time you need to complete your college selection and admissions process. For some they may need help with college selection, others the development of a portfolio, or in many cases both. Each student is unique and some only need 1 or 2 meetings to edit a portfolio or to build a list of schools, others may need more time to create a portfolio and write their artist statement. All invoices are based on $300 per hour billed in 15-minute increments. At the first of each month, families are emailed an invoice for the previous month of meetings, office work, and email correspondence. The number of hours I work with a student is dependent on the amount of research they have already completed about colleges’ choices and the level of completion toward a portfolio they have accomplished. I do not require a minimum number of hours to begin and the number of hours I work with students has been as low as 1-hour and the average is usually between 4-6 hours depending on the need.
